WiSTEM Camp for Papillion/La Vista

Our WiSTEM group would like to pair up with a high school to allow motivated, upper level female students (junior or senior) interested in STEM fields to participate in a camp that will occur next semester once a month at UNO from 10:00am-noon on a Saturday, which has not yet been decided. Each month will host an activity and a speaker in a more advanced topic of STEM that the students wouldn't normally be subjected to at a high school level. We would like the young women to engage in these activities and expose themselves to areas in STEM that young students, especially women, are usually not well educated on but are still great fields to pursue. Our goal is to give them these opportunities so that they can pursue college having confidence in their skills and knowledge about available fields that most young women do not acquire until they reach upper levels of college. We plan on hosting four sessions next semester, and if students sign up, we would like them to make at least three of those sessions. Do you think Papillion/LaVista would have interest in this camp?

Thank you,
